PreferredOne Expands Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Network Access in Minnesota and North Dakota

Golden Valley, Minn. (July 1, 2016)— PreferredOne announced today that beginning January 1, 2017, its open access Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network will be available to Aetna members in Minnesota and North Dakota. The PreferredOne PPO network includes 99 percent of Minnesota and North Dakota hospitals and clinics.

“PreferredOne looks forward to offering our PPO network to Aetna’s employer customers and their employees,” said David Crosby, PreferredOne President and CEO. “I’m thrilled our partnership with Aetna is expanding for the benefit of our combined customers.”

In February, PreferredOne and Aetna Signature Administrators signed another agreement that offers PreferredOne’s self-insured employers access to the Aetna Signature Administrators’ PPO national network of more than 1.1 million providers, 8,000 hospitals and 500 centers of excellence.

PreferredOne has created and administered PPO networks to insurers and administrators for over 35 years. PreferredOne was founded as a PPO and over the past 20 years has extended its products and services to include self insured administration plans, stop loss insurance through PreferredOne Insurance Company, and fully insured products to employers.
