PreferredOne Contracts with Aetna Signature Administrators® for National Provider Network

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (February 3, 2016) - PreferredOne, a Minnesota-based health benefits administrator and insurer, announced today it has contracted with Aetna to participate in the Aetna Signature Administrators program. Under the arrangement, PreferredOne will offer self-insured employers access to the Aetna Signature Administrators PPO national provider network together with certain medical management, stop loss and other services. PreferredOne will combine its regional provider networks with the Aetna Signature Administrators national network of more than 1 million providers, 8,000 hospitals and 500 centers of excellence. Minnesota-based companies that have locations and employees outside of the state can now consider this cost-effective, national network through PreferredOne.

“The Aetna Signature Administrators national network combined with PreferredOne’s regional provider networks demonstrates our commitment to our customers to deliver new products and services that improve customer satisfaction and reduce health care costs,” says David Crosby, PreferredOne president and CEO.

The combined network integrates claims processing, eligibility, medical management, customer service, employer reporting, and other administration functions in a seamless solution for PreferredOne clients and their employees.

“The market has been requesting an integrated national network solution. We are excited we can provide access to this robust national network with competitive discounts as part of PreferredOne’s portfolio of provider networks,” says Paul Geiwitz, PreferredOne executive VP & chief marketing officer.

“The Aetna Signature Administrators business has established strong relationships with a very select number of health benefit administrators throughout the United States. We are excited about this new relationship with PreferredOne. Together we will jointly service Minnesota-based employers on a national scale,” says Ralph Borzillo, Aetna Signature Administrators president.

PreferredOne will begin enrolling new groups effective March 1, 2016.
