Stacy Mays joins PreferredOne as Chief Operating Officer

Minneapolis, Minn. November 27, 2017 - PreferredOne welcomes Stacy Mays as its chief operating officer. Stacy joins the health plan from the University of North Carolina Health Care System where she served as chief operating officer for the clinically integrated network and Medicare ACO and most recently as transformation executive for the system.

"Stacy is an accomplished executive with 25 years of experience in managed care, healthcare services and consulting," said Dave Crosby, chief executive officer at PreferredOne. "Her experience includes work with commercial, Medicare and Medicaid health plans in addition to positions with provider organizations. Her exposure to all facets of health care delivery and financing provides a unique perspective that will serve our customers, brokers and provider partners well. We see Stacy building on PreferredOne’s already solid fundamentals and expanding our reputation for innovation. Stacy joined PreferredOne on November 30 and reports to Crosby. She earned masters’ degrees in both business and health administration from Georgia State University.
