PreferredOne is now a part of UnitedHealthcare


PreferredOne will continue to operate and serve members and customers as it does today, but it will do so as part of the UnitedHealthcare of MN team. The combination of our businesses, teams and resources will lead to higher quality health care solutions for current and future members and customers.

Members

Q: I am a current PreferredOne member, will there be any changes to my plan?

PreferredOne members will continue to receive the same high level of service that they have come to expect. Members will be able to use current phone numbers, e-mail, and websites as they do today. If there are any changes in the future, we will be sure to notify members.

Q: Is my coverage still in place?

Yes. There are no changes to coverage for current members.

Q: Will my rates go up?

There are no rate changes as a result of this transition.

Q: Is my provider network going to change?

No. Your network will remain the same and will not change as a result of this transition.

Q: Will I get a new ID card?

No. You can continue to use your same ID card.

Q: Can I use the PreferredOne website to access MyAccount?

Yes. You can continue to login to your account using the PreferredOne website.

Q: Can I continue to call the same PreferredOne customer service number?

Yes. If you need assistance, you can continue to call the PreferredOne customer service line.

Providers

Q: Will we continue to hold contracts with and be serviced by PreferredOne network management?

Yes. The important relationships PreferredOne has developed with its care provider network will continue as usual. Care providers will be able to use current phone numbers, e-mails, etc. to reach PreferredOne.

Q: As a PreferredOne network provider, what changes should I expect?

There are no immediate changes for providers. Care providers will be able to use current phone numbers, e-mails, etc. to reach PreferredOne.

Q: Will there be any changes to how my staff works with PreferredOne?

No. Your staff can continue following their current process for working with PreferredOne.

Q: Can I use the PreferredOne website to access MyAccount?

Yes. You can continue to login to your account using the PreferredOne website.

Q: Can I continue to call the same PreferredOne customer service number?

Yes. If you need assistance, you can continue to call the PreferredOne customer service line.

Employers

Q: Will this change impact my employees?

No. The acquisition of PreferredOne by UnitedHealthcare does not impact your employees current benefit plan. Your employees can continue to use their PreferredOne health benefits, access the PreferredOne website, their account online and customer service as they do today.

Q: Does this affect my current contract with PreferredOne or my pending renewal?

No. There are no impacts or changes to your existing contract with PreferredOne. Additionally, if you are in the process of renewing your contract with PreferredOne, there will be no changes or impacts as a result of the acquisition of PreferredOne by UnitedHeathcare.

Brokers

Q: Who will brokers work with if they want to sell UnitedHealthcare and PreferredOne benefits?

Brokers will continue to receive the same high level of service that they have come to expect. Brokers will be able to use current phone numbers, e-mails, etc. and can continue to work with their PreferredOne contact. Brokers can also continue to sell PreferredOne plans as nothing will change at this time. We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible, without disruption in benefits, service, or access to care. We will keep brokers informed if there are any changes in the future.
