PreferredOne will continue to operate and serve members and customers as it does today, but it will do so as part of the UnitedHealthcare of MN team. The combination of our businesses, teams and resources will lead to higher quality health care solutions for current and future members and customers.

Q: Is my PreferredOne coverage still in place?
Your current PreferredOne coverage will continue through the remainder of the policy plan year. If you are
currently enrolled in a PreferredOne health plan sponsored by your employer, talk to your employer to see what
coverage options may be available to you during your next open enrollment period.
Q: Can I continue to call the same PreferredOne customer service number?
If you need assistance, you can continue to call PreferredOne customer service for the remainder of the policy plan year.
Q: Will the provider network change?
The network will remain the same for your current PreferredOne coverage. If you move to a UnitedHealthcare
plan, your network will change. The UnitedHealthcare national network includes over 1.2M physicians and health
care professionals and over 6,900 hospitals — making it easier for you to get the care you need, no matter where
you live or work. 1

Q: Will I get a new ID card?
You can continue to use your PreferredOne ID card for the remainder of the policy plan year. If you move to a
UnitedHealthcare plan, you will receive a new UnitedHealthcare health plan ID card.
Q: Can I use the PreferredOne website to access MyAccount?
You can continue to login to your account on the PreferredOne website for the remainder of the policy plan year.
If you move to a UnitedHealthcare plan, you will login to myuhc.com® to access your account.
Providers
Q: Will we continue to hold contracts with and be serviced by PreferredOne network management?
Yes. The important relationships PreferredOne has developed with its care provider network will continue as usual. Care providers will be able to use current phone numbers, e-mails, etc. to reach PreferredOne.
Q: As a PreferredOne network provider, what changes should I expect?
There are no immediate changes for providers. Care providers will be able to use current phone numbers, e-mails, etc. to reach PreferredOne.
Q: Will there be any changes to how my staff works with PreferredOne?
No. Your staff can continue following their current process for working with PreferredOne.
Q: Can I use the PreferredOne website to access MyAccount?
Yes. You can continue to login to your account using the PreferredOne website.
Q: Can I continue to call the same PreferredOne customer service number?
Yes. If you need assistance, you can continue to call the PreferredOne customer service line.
Employers
Q: Will this change impact my employees?
The acquisition of PreferredOne by UnitedHealthcare does not impact your current benefit plan. Your employees
can continue to use their current PreferredOne health benefits, access their online account on the PreferredOne
website, and contact customer service for the remainder of the policy plan year. When you choose a new plan at
renewal, your employees will likely experience some changes.
Q: Does this affect my current contract with PreferredOne?
There are no changes to your existing contract with PreferredOne. If you are in the process of renewing your
contract with PreferredOne, contact your PreferredOne account manager to discuss renewal options.
Q: Will I continue working with my PreferredOne account management team?
Your current account management relationship may change. Some groups will continue to work with their
PreferredOne account manager and other groups may work with both their PreferredOne account manager as
well as a new business account executive from UnitedHealthcare.
Brokers
Q: Who will brokers work with if they want to sell UnitedHealthcare and PreferredOne benefits?
Brokers will receive the same high level of service they have come to expect. Brokers will continue to work with
PreferredOne Sales for individual and 1-50 small group markets. For large group 51+ and level funded
prospective clients, UnitedHealthcare sales will take the lead in responding to requests for proposals. Please

Q: Will we see changes to network, product or plan designs in 2022?
UnitedHealthcare’s breadth of expertise combined with the strength of both the PreferredOne and
UnitedHealthcare local teams can result in even better services for you, your clients and their employees. As we
further integrate our businesses, changes may occur. Depending on the size of your client and your client’s
renewal date, they may experience some changes in 2022. We will keep you informed of changes in advance.
